(U10) Rep, U10/11, 2019-2020 (Welland Minor Hockey)

The Welland Minor Atom “A” Shadow Auto Tigers fought hard but fell just short in their quest to move on in the OMHA quarter finals. The Tigers were facing the reigning OMHA champion Southpoint Capitals. The Tigers pushed them to the point of elimination forcing a deciding game 6 but the Capitals emerged with the win.  The Tigers are now in the Niagara Districts and have started with 2 wins defeating the Dunnville Mudcats and Niagara Falls Flyers.  

The Welland Minor Atom “A” Shadow Auto Tigers started their OMHA quarter finals against the Southpoint Capitals this past weekend and did not disappoint.  Game 1 was on Saturday in the Youth Arena at 2:10 PM. The Tigers were down 3-1 heading into the third but scored early in the final frame to pull within 1. With the net empty and crowd on their feet, the Tigers tied it up with just over a minute left on the clock. Overtime decided nothing and Thomas Russell had to settle for the tie in net. The Welland Minor Atom “A” Shadow Auto Tigers have advanced to the OMHA Quarter Finals after defeating the West Niagara Flying Aces 2 games to 0 in a best of 3 showdown. 

The Welland Minor Atom “A” Shadow Auto Tigers have advanced to the Niagara District Minor Atom Championship after going 6-0 in round robin play over the weekend.  The Tigers will face the West Niagara Flying Aces in a best of 3 series to determine who moves on to the OMHA Quarter Finals. 

The Welland Minor Atom “A” Shadow Auto Tigers improved to 24-3-1 in divisional play this past weekend after beating the Dunnville Mudcats on Saturday and St. Catharines Falcons on Sunday.
