The Welland Telus Tigers (1-0-3) wrapped up the round-robin portion of their Niagara District Major Peewee A Pool A playoffs with a 2-2 tie against Lincoln on Monday night.

It was overtime heartbreak for the Welland Telus Tigers on home ice Sunday afternoon but thanks to a new playoff format the team will look to claw back into their four-point Championship series with Stoney Creek later this week as the two teams vie for a berth in the OMHA Major Peewee A Quarterfinals.

The Welland Telus Tigers battled back to defeat the Stoney Creek Warriors 3-2 in Major Peewee A action on Wednesday night in Welland, joining them atop the division with 39 points after Welland's 26th game of the season.

Preston Wainwright, Quinten Hemauer and Eli Moormann each scored as the Welland Telus Tigers defeated the Fort Erie Meteors 3-1 in Niagara District Peewee Doherty action on Sunday afternoon.

Tristan Alford scored the game's only goal and Hunter Lozecki recorded the shutout as the Glanbrook Rangers snapped the Welland Telus Tigers 17 game unbeaten streak in Niagara District Peewee Doherty league play.
