Meteors Fall To Tigers 6-2 In Penalty-Filled Affair
The Welland Niagara Street Pharmacy/Gene's Skate Sharpening Tigers extended their winning streak to 12 games in Niagara District Atom Doherty play with a 6-2 win over Fort Erie on Monday night.
Carson McComber scored twice and Colby Franchetti, Tanner Cutler, Brennen Hagar and Julian Belcastro added single tallies as Welland improved to 18-2-3 in regular season action. Brentin Porter and Owen Kelly responded for the Meteors. The teams combined for 38 minutes in penalties during tonight's feisty affair, their last meeting of the season.
Next up for the Tigers is a rare Thursday night game at 7:20pm in Welland against the Glanbrook Rangers.
