Tigers Escape With 7-7 Tie Against Wolves
There were plenty of goals scored in Niagara-on-the-Lake on Tuesday night as both teams paid little attention to defence in a 7-7 shootout between the league's top two offences.

Welland, at 21-2-4, finishes their regular season with the most goals for (133) and fewest goals against (52) in the division and riding a 16-game unbeaten streak in league play. One unplayed game against Glanbrook remains scheduled to be played after OMHA Playdowns should neither team advance from this weekend's tournament held in Stoney Creek and Glanbrook.

Linemates Colby Franchetti, Tanner Cutler and Julian Belcastro each scored a pair of goals and Jonah Bello rounded out the Tigers scoring in Tuesday's slugfest. Brennen Hagar notched two assists with Hudson Kipp, Lucas Nelson and Franchetti also picking up helpers on the night.

Ethan Abraham, second in points and goals for the division, potted three and Andrew Bayne, Riley Smith, Ben Parker and Marco Angelini also scored for the Wolves, who finished five points behind the Tigers at 18-5-5.

Welland travels to Valley Park Arena in Stoney Creek on Friday for a 10:30am game against Niagara Falls and a 2:30pm tilt against Garden City. Saturday's schedule sees the Tigers square off in Glanbrook against the host Rangers at 10:30am and Stoney Creek at 2:00pm. The top four teams from the round-robin will play Semi-finals on Sunday morning with the winners facing off in a four point series with game one in the series being played Sunday afternoon at 4:30pm.
