Tigers Take Home the W
An amazing team effort in Grimsby saw the U14A Tigers take home their first regular season win against the West Niagara Flying Aces, 3-2 in regulation!
The Tigers took their second game of the season by force, securing a 3-0 lead by the end of the second period on away ice. Goals scored by Diomin and Fortier (2) and an assist by Seguin saw the Tigers begin to run away with the game, until the Flying Aces started the comeback with 2 goals a few minutes apart in the third.
The defensive core of Dean, Ebert, Bassi, and Garofalo shut the door on West Niagara's final push, supporting goaltender Butera's 19 save win to close out the third period in style. A great effort from the team as a whole really showed what these Tigers have to offer.
Catch the Tigers back on home ice this Saturday, October 21st at 5pm in Welland Main Arena as they look to take down the 0-2 Garden City Falcons.
