least.
Sunday morning was a very interesting game to say the least. Ajax would go on to take over 80 minutes in penalties. The game would start off right away with a Tiger power play. Jack Moormann on a pass from Brodie Morabito would quickly make it 1-0. Before you knew it, Max Naso and Morabito would score 2 more and jump out to a 3-0 lead. However, this was not game over as Welland began to take their penalties. Ajax’ pressure was relentless for a period and a half and would eventually tie the game. Tiger captain Hayden Scott would set the example by leading his team to victory. Luka Turkovich would score 2 in the 3rd to retake the lead. Ajax would continue to self-destruct as 3 players and a coach would be forced to leave the game. Chris Angelo would finish them off to make it 6-3. Jackson Duerden would get his first of the season late in the game to make it a 7-3 final. Welland would be off to the finals where Cambridge Hawks would be waiting.
