Meteors Come Crashing Down

Friday saw the Welland Midget Tigers travel to Fort Erie as the regular season resumed. The Meteors came out with a bit of a sharper look to them but the Tigers didn’t let this faze them. Myles Chew stood his ground and held the fort until the Tigers started to play their game. After falling behind, Lucas D’innocenzo got them back in the game with a short side goal to make it 1-1 at the end of the 2nd. Welland finally did what they’ve had trouble doing all year, and that is putting away teams in the 3rd. Jack Moormann scored the goal to take the lead. Jarod Tessier would score the dagger as he walked in from the point and put it shelf. Fort Erie started to fall apart and the Tigers capitalized; Noah Carl scored on a breakaway; and D’Innocenzo would wrap up the scoring with his second. Overall the Tigers played their game and the result was a positive 5-1 win. POG is Lucas D’Innocenzo.
