Pee Wee AE Tigers Win Home Opener

The Mike Knapp Ford Welland Tigers PeeWee AE started their week on the road against Niagara West Major PeeWee AE with a 5-3 loss.  Welland goals by Lincoln Kelley, Maxime Rainville and Brennen Hagar.

Tigers had their home opener on Saturday against the NOTL PeeWee AE Wolves.  Brennen Hagar opening up the scoring in the first period, NOTL would then net two to take the lead into the second period. The Tigers came out strong in the 2nd period to take a 4-2 lead with goals from Noah Forrester, Townes Bestward and Aiden Bury.  NOTL scored in the mid 3rd to bring them to 1 goal deficit.  Rocco Seneca added the 5th goal for insurance for the Tigers and Brody Marton secured the net until the final buzzer for the Tigers first regular season win.
Sunday we traveled to Stoney Creek to face their PeeWee AE White.  The Tigers scored late in first to take the lead with a goal from Maxime Rainville.  Chance Hubbel scored early in the second to give Welland a 2-0 lead.  Stoney Creek answered back with 3 consecutive goals to take the lead into the third 3-2.  Stoney Creek scored another in the 3rd, and Tiger's goalie Evan Corriveau stop many shots to keep the final score 4-2.
