Tigers Come-From-Behind To Take Game One
Submitted By Justin Disher on Wednesday, February 5, 2020
Tanner Cutler scored twice and Chace Buti once as the Welland 91.7 Giant FM/Country 89 Tigers registered a come-from-behind win to take the first game in their four-point series with the Garden City Falcons on the road.

The Tigers found themselves in the unusual position of trailing as Owen Crabbe put the home side on the scoreboard first with a goal only ninety-seven seconds in.

Buti would respond with the equalizer on an assist from Jordan Wright less than three minutes later but Rhys McAdam would once again put the Falcons on top with seven minutes remaining in the second period.

Cutler's first of the game, from Colby Franchetti and Miller Miotto, three minutes after that tied the game and Cutler would record the game-winner on an assist from Ashlyn Armstrong with 11:50 left in the game.

The Tigers hold home ice advantage in the series and will look to close things out in front of a packed King Street Ice Palace crowd at 7pm on Friday night. Game three in the series, if necessary, would be played at 11:20am on Saturday, also in Welland.
