Blades Cut Tigers Down To Size
While the Welland Niagara Street Pharmacy Tigers looked strong at the outset, it was the Lincoln Blades who skated away with the 4-3 victory on Wednesday night in Beamsville.


Welland played a strong first period and held a 3-0 advantage at the game's mid-point thanks to goals from Carter Kipp, Preston Wainwright and Mitchell Tomaino however Lincoln took full advantage of a late second-period lapse and snapped the Tigers five game winning streak with four unanswered goals within one minute forty-four seconds to record the come-from-behind home victory.

Nick Bolibruck scored twice and Jaxon Christie and Christian Ferro added single tallies for Lincoln.

Earlier in the week Welland skated past Glanbrook 4-3 on home ice thanks to goals from Mitchell Tomaino, James McDonald, Carter Kipp and Kaleb Séguin. Anthony Sayej with a pair and Connor Wallingham scored for Glanbrook.

Welland's current record in NDHL Atom Doherty league play is 2-3-1.
