The Welland Niagara Street Pharmacy Tigers showed a much improved effort but are still in search of their first win of the regular season.
The Tigers struck first when Nicolas DiPietro put them on the scoreboard only a minute into the game but Logan Smythe would net the equalizer for the home side three minutes into the second frame and it would stay knotted until Welland pounced back into the lead with three minutes left to play in the third period on Luca Giancola's tally. The Wolves would answer back 45 second later when Kaleb Dietsch would bang home the game-tying goal and the game would finish in a 2-2 stalemate. Welland, whose record is now 0-2-1, travels to Caledonia this weekend to compete in the Caledonia Challenge Cup.
