Tigers Rebound With A Pair Of Wins On Day Two
The Welland Telus Tigers continued to put up crooked numbers, defeating West Niagara 5-3 and Glancaster 5-1 in day two action of the Niagara District OMHA Preliminaries.

Feeling much more comfortable in their regular digs at the Welland Main Arena the Tigers peppered the opposing net with shots and capitalized on many of the powerplay opportunities that they were given on the day.

Tyler Ray notched a pair of goals against the Flying Aces and was joined on the scoresheet by Dayton Flatt, Jaxon Vanderlip and Josh Lamb. Blake Turner registered two assists and Max Myers, Lamb, Sean Sinclair, Noah Bovine, Ryan Reeves, Jordan Raso, Sam McPhee and Everett Hemauer each added single helpers in the victory.

Oliver Wall, Matthew Ippolito and Jake Vanbrederode replied for West Niagara.

Flatt, Lamb, Reeves, Ray and Alexander McQuillan each bulged the twine against Glancaster with Raso supplying a pair of helpers and Flatt, McPhee, McQuillan, Turner and Ray assisting on one apiece.

Jonathan Haskett recorded the lone Bombers goal, assisted by Spencer Rushton.

Welland closes out round-robin play tomorrow against Stoney Creek at 8:45am in St. Catharines at the Seymour-Hannah Sportsplex. Semi-finals games will follow at 1pm and 2:30pm respectively with the 3rd vs. 2nd seed playing the earlier game and 4th vs. 1st the latter.
