The Green Machine is Back!
With Blake Marton back in the lineup this Saturday, the Green Machine was out for blood against the Dunnville Mudcats. Blake was determined to prove he was back to full health and popped the first goal of the game unassisted at 6 minutes into the third period. Jaxson Beck and Matteo Valleriani were flying on the wings, contributing by way of assists on the third goal. Valleriani earned the hard hat by fearlessly battling in the corners and back-checking like a steam locomotive going at full tilt.
The Welland Youngs Insurance Tigers second and winning goal was scored by Joseph Boychuk, assisted by Lucas Homan and Maxx Pals. The third and final goal was sniped by Kalen Sumbler after a defensive rush to the net. With the Tigers sitting at 6-4-1, they will break from the regular season this week to travel to Pittsburgh to play in the Thanksgiving Classic Tournament.
