Tigers Net Big Win Against Mudcats
There was nothing fishy about the Tigers win on Thursday.
The Welland Mike Knapp Ford Tigers landed a big win, defeating the Dunnville Mudcats 5-2 to remain perfect on home ice and climbed into a three-way tie for first place in the NDHL Midget Belcot standings.
The team, which snapped a two-game losing skid, improved to 5-1-3 on the season thanks to goals from Zyrik Bacon, Mitch Chastelet, Easton Pummell, Nathan Gallen and Jacob Shirley.
Owen Ricker and Easton Bousfield provided the Dunnville offence.
Welland's next action is a road contest on Monday against the winless Thorold Blackhawks.
