PeeWee LL3, U12/13, 2016-2017 (Welland Minor Hockey)

There are less than two weeks remaining in the regular season and only 4 games. With hard work at practice and extra effort during games, the Mike Knapp Ford Welland Rhinos are near the top of the standings and in great position to make noise during the playoffs. It's going to take more than just skill. Persistence, determination and smart team play will all determine how this season will end.

The Welland Rhinos were sent home with their first loss of the season thanks to Thorold3. It wasn't from lack of effort, as evidenced by all of the sweaty heads in the dressing room, but a lesson in the need for everyone on the ice to collapse to the front of our net and help clear rebounds and loose pucks. It's good to be challenged once in a while.  Keep up the hard work, not every game is going to be easy.

Quality chances, quality passes, hustle at the face off and text book breakouts. Everything was good about this game, even the opposing goalie. This must be what it feels like when other teams take shots at Michael. There's another tough opponent that wants to knock us down Sunday evening. Remember to keep your head up and your stick on the ice. I promise to find a good logo soon Desmond.

Very proud of these kids for moving the puck around in the third period. The next few games on the schedule should provide a bigger test for the Rhinos and more skill building as we head into our first tournament of the year in Wainfleet, Nov 18, 19, 20th.

It was a tall task but someone had to step up.  The goalie had to be pulled because of an equipment malfunction so the Welland Rhino's needed a player to step into the net for a few minutes as a replacement. Landon Pringle volunteered and did a fabulous job keeping the puck out of our net. It also helps when the rest of the team picks up the pace, keeps the puck in the offensive zone and pop 3 goals of their own, all while Snyds is cheering from the sidelines.  Priceless
