Board members from Pelham Minor Hockey
Association, Thorold Amateur Athletic Association and Welland Minor Hockey
Association have started the discussions surround potential partnership of the
Representative Hockey Program for all three associations.
Guided by best practices offered
by OMHA and lessons learned from our neighbours to the west (West Niagara) it
is time to gather as an association for an information session on how this
would affect our association, your children.
Board members from Thorold and
Pelham have made presentations to their associations and have received the go
ahead with the amalgamation. The format
will be a presentation followed by a review of “frequently asked questions”. We
will then open up the floor and do their best to answer any questions that
members may have.
Welland Minor Hockey Association
invites all members to join us on Thursday, March 21 at 7pm, in the WMHA Boardroom 1st
floor at the Welland Arena. This affects
everyone in our association, representative hockey as well as house
league. Make your voices heard, the best
decision is an informative decision, this is not a decision that should be
taken lightly. A vote will be taken
immediately after this meeting as well as on Friday, March 22 from 6pm – 8pm
in the lobby of the Main Arena.
