Tigers Climb Back Into First With Win Over Meteors
Preston Wainwright, Quinten Hemauer and Eli Moormann each scored as the Welland Telus Tigers defeated the Fort Erie Meteors 3-1 in Niagara District Peewee Doherty action on Sunday afternoon.
With the victory, Welland climbs back into first place, tied with Stoney Creek with identical 15-3-7 records with three regular season games remaining. Ashton Lanthier recorded the lone Meteors tally during the penalty-free contest.
Welland hosts Stoney Creek on Wednesday night at 7:20pm.
