Submitted By Justin Disher on Friday, February 7, 2020
For the second straight year the Niagara District will be represented by Stoney Creek at the major peewee A level in the OMHA Quarterfinals after the Warriors snuck past the Welland Telus Tigers 2-1 on Friday night at Valley Park Arena.

Nathan Tarka and Evan Tosh scored for Stoney Creek and Tyler Ray replied for Welland as the Warriors prevailed in the four-point series after two close games.

The Warriors will advance to play the winner of the Essex-St. Thomas series that is currently tied at two points apiece in their six-point series.

Welland will return to play in the A Pool of the Niagara District playoffs with their first game to be played on Monday at 6:50pm in Virgil against Niagara-on-the-Lake and then next Friday at home versus West Niagara at 7pm.
