Overtime Heartache For Tigers
Kingston Allen scored one-minute-twenty-one seconds into overtime to give the Stoney Creek Warriors a two point lead in the four-point series with the Welland Telus Tigers in major peewee A action on Wednesday night in Welland.

The Tigers clawed back three times, including once when two goals down, but the league's most potent offence would head home with the two points.

Jordan Raso opened the scoring for the home side only one hundred seconds in as the Tigers assumed their only lead of the contest but Blake Curran would respond with twelve seconds remaining in the first to tie the game after the first ten minutes of play.

Stoney Creek would edge ahead on Brett Parker's tally with 2:30 left to play in the second but Ray would get things back up to par with 14:29 to go in the third. The tie was short-lived as Sam Shweihat pushed the Warriors back into the lead fourteen seconds later and Stoney Creek would actually go up by two on Evan Tosh's powerplay marker with 10:22 remaining.

Raso's second of the game thirty seconds later gave the Tigers life and Blake Turner's blast with 6:04 to go tied the game and forced a ten-minute sudden victory overtime period.

Game two in the series goes at 6:15pm on Friday night at Valley Park Arena.
