Tigers Finding Their Groove As Playoffs Approach
Josh Lamb scored twice and Noah Bovine and Ryan Reeves also bulged the twine as the Welland Telus Tigers defeated the Niagara Falls Flyers 4-1 in Major Peewee A action at the Gale Centre on Sunday evening.

With four wins in their past six games, the Tigers are starting to find their groove as the playoffs approach. Excellent team play, heads-up passing and a renewed commitment to defence have been very evident during the past two weeks as Welland has demonstrated that they are able to compete with anyone.

The Flyers have been one of the division's hottest teams of late and Zachary Gagnon put the home side on the scoreboard first with a powerplay strike just under two minutes into the middle period before the Tigers responded with four unanswered goals in the final twenty-six minutes of play to improve to 13-8-4 in league competition.

Welland returns to action on Friday at home against the West Niagara Flying Aces starting at 7pm.
