Tigers Rally Past Bombers for 15th League Win
The Welland 91.7 Giant FM/Country 89 Tigers rallied from a 2-1 deficit to overcome the Glancaster Bombers 5-2 in minor peewee A action in Glanbrook on Saturday night.

Tanner Cutler opened the scoring five minutes into the second period with his first of three goals before Glancaster countered with markers from Trent Speksnyder and Ayden Good to hold a 2-1 advantage after the first 25 minutes of play.

The tide would turn as the Bombers accumulated 16 minutes in penalties during the third period of play, including a five-minute head-contact major that saw their starting netminder ejected from the game and allowed the visitors to play five-on-three for the final 4:55 of regulation, significantly aiding the Tigers comeback as all of Welland's final three tallies came with the man-advantage thanks to the major. There were seven head-contact infractions called between the two teams in all, five of which were assessed to the Bombers, with total penalty minutes in the game favouring the Tigers 29 to 14.

In addition to Cutler's hat-trick, the Tigers also received offence from Jordan Wright, who scored his first of the season, and Colby Franchetti. Miller Miotto was credited with a pair of assists and Cutler a lone helper.

Welland, now 15-0-2 in divisional play, will host the Stoney Creek Warriors on Wednesday at 7:20pm.
