Tigers Can't Tip Scales Against Mudcats
The Welland 91.7 Giant FM/Country 89 Tigers and Dunnville Mudcats met for the third and final time this season and skated to a 1-1 draw in minor peewee action on Saturday afternoon in Dunnville.

There is not much that separates these teams as they both play well defensively and are blessed with fantastic goaltending. Tim Dolan and Riley Caron put on today's goaltender's duel in which neither would give an inch resulting in the second tie in three meetings between these clubs this season.

Justin McNab would strike first blood with a short-handed marker at the four minute mark of the second period but Welland would net the equalizer with thirteen minutes remaining in the game when Colby Franchetti and Miller Miotto set up Tanner Cutler from behind the net to pull the game back to even.

The Tigers remain undefeated in league play at 8-0-2 with today's stalemate.

Dunnville was 0-for-4 with the man-advantage while Welland went 0-for-2 with the extra attacker.

Welland will participate in tomorrow's Hometown Hockey activities which include a ball hockey game against the Major Peewee A Tigers at noon behind City Hall on the Scotiabank rink and the Parade of Champions taking place downtown at 6pm. Their next league game will take place Wednesday night at 7:20pm when they host the Garden City Minor AE Falcons.
