Welcome to the 2019-2020 hockey season!
Emails were sent out last night with dates and times for evaluation days. If you did not get an email from me on September 12, please contact me at

The house league season will begin next week, on Friday September 20, 2019. The Atom division consists of 2 age groups, those players born in 2010 (minor) and 2009 (major).
In order to ensure the teams are fair and balanced evenly, the first few ice times will be used for player evaluations. Each team will have a mix of minor and major players.
When you arrive for evaluations, please check your child in at the front table. Your child will be given a jersey to wear for the evaluation day, please ensure this is returned before leaving the arena. These are borrowed jerseys and need to be accounted for each day. After the teams are formed, your child will receive a jersey and socks for the season.
For the evaluation days only, players will be divided by age to participate. This is to keep the amount of players on the ice at a time at a safe number, and to ensure visibility for the evaluators.
We are scheduled as follows:
Friday September 20 6pm – Welland Main Arena – Minor Players (2010)
Saturday September 21 11:50 am- Welland Youth Arena – Major Players (2009)
Saturday September 21 1pm- Welland Youth Arena - Minor Players (2010)
Sunday September 22 11:20am- Welland Youth Arena - Major Players (2009)
We are also looking for goaltenders, if this is something your child is interested in, please let me know.
Please mark your calendars for November 9 & 10 when Rogers Hometown Hockey comes to Welland! This free event will have lots to do and will get to showcase this great city we call home and the players (past and present) of Welland Minor Hockey. More details will follow in the coming weeks!
