Minor Novice game updates
Hi Parents,
The Niagara District Local League held their meeting last night that WMHA attended and we received an update for Minor Novice.
Based on new Hockey Canada / OMHA requirements, games are not starting now until December 14/15 weekend. Much different than our understanding from the start of the season.
We were not aware of the 2 practice to 1 game ratio that has been implemented. It is a unfortunate, but we do not lose any ice. We have about 20 weekends left through to March give or take some tournaments. That's 40 ice times. The OMHA guide has us at 26 max games.
I am okay if we start playing in house games in November now that they have their jerseys. If the coaches decide that option just let me know in advance and we can coordinate to have a score clock, etc.
Again, sorry for this update. Out of our control but it was late to find this information out.
