Tigers Battle Back To Tie Falcons
With just under fifteen minutes remaining it looked like St. Catharines might skate away with the rubber match in the regular season series between the Welland Telus Tigers and Garden City Major Peewee A Falcons. Ty Kostyniuk had potted three goals and Sutter Pilon had recorded a single tally to put the home side up 4-1.

A determined Tigers squad to a player battled back and  with three unanswered goals in the final period earned a 4-4 tie with Garden City. Nicolas DiPietro and Quinten Hemauer each scored twice on the night with assists going to Tyler Rowland, Isaac Khan, Easton McComber, DiPietro and Mitchell Tomaino. The Tigers recorded a penalty-free game for only the second time this season.

The Niagara District Peewee Doherty standings display five teams separated by only three points at the top of the heap. Welland, Stoney Creek and Garden City are all deadlocked for first place with 24 points, followed by Glanbrook with 22 and Lincoln with 21 with roughly a dozen games remaining for each team. Glanbrook, who Welland handed their first regular season loss this week, has a slight advantage over the others having played the fewest games to date and holding up to three games in hand on the others.

Glanbrook and Garden City will square off Sunday at 5pm in St. Catharines while the Tigers are idle until Wednesday when they host Pelham at 7:20pm. Stoney Creek faces off against Glanbrook on Tuesday night and Lincoln will see action against Niagara-on-the-Lake on Monday.
