The
Welland Youngs Insurance Tigers scrambled on Wednesday evening to defeat the Grimsby Kings 2-1. After a barrage of missed opportunities, Austin Bovine finally found the net midway through the second scoring their initial goal. After another period and many attempts, Ethan Fortier then scored the wining goal late in the third, assisted by Lucas Homan and Kalen Sumbler, earning the Tigers the win.
Saturday was met with defeat against the West Lincoln Wrath. With very little effort put forward, the Welland Youngs Insurance Tigers met their match succumbing a terrible loss of 6-1. The lone goal was scored by Austin Bovine and assisted by Kalen Sumbler.
With their regular season record now at 5-4, the Tigers are hoping to regroup this week before heading in to Glanbrook on Tuesday night to battle the Rangers.
