The Welland Mike Knapp Ford Tigers continued their Minor Midget A
pre-season schedule with exhibition wins over Pelham and the St. Catharines Falcons this week.
Hunter Wilson, with his first career hat-trick and Brodie Thoms each scored three times in an 8-0 win over Pelham with Ardis Peterson and Gavin Boorsma rounding out Welland's scoring with singles. Liam Pouliot recorded the shutout in goal for the Tigers. Daniel Legault scored a pair and Boorsma, Matt Brochu and Noah Belanger each scored in a 5-2 win over the Falcons. Anthony Giancaterino and Dylan Gough scored for St. Catharines. Welland opens their regular season with a rematch against the Falcons in St. Catharines on Wednesday evening.
