Game Recap:
The White Knights faced the Pelham Panthers in an evenly matched game today. The game started off with two quick goals by the Panthers, but the Knights quickly turned things around. An amazing play between Felix and Ayden allowed Felix to score the first goal for the Knights! Shortly there after, a second goal was scored to Elliott, assisted by Benjamin and Adam.
The Panthers really put the pressure on in the first, but our goalie Mathew F. made some amazing saves keeping the Knights in the game. The second period was tough, with the Panthers scoring another 2 goals, and with a minute left in the second Luca G. grabbed another goal for the Knights, which was assisted by Liam.
After a brief pep talk with the coach, the Knights were ready to start the 3rd period. Luca G. made a great pass to Mark who manage to slide the puck in past the Panthers goalie, tying the game 4-4. As the third period continued, it proved to be a rough one for both teams. Several penalties were given, and while the Knights had a 5 on 3 opportunity, they were not successful in scoring. With minutes left in the 3rd, the Panthers scored their game winning goal, and then another goal in our empty net.
It was a well matched, hard playing exciting game!

Coaches Comments:
We made some minor mistakes that ended up
costing us that game, but we are working on it. They did well at points, and they made mistakes at points. We are really working on getting possession of the puck first before we just decide to pass it on and the times that we did it we played really good hockey and there were times we just threw it out and lost it to the Panthers. Pelham played really well and had some good shots on us. Our goalie for his first time in net (in terms of ice hockey), did very well! He got a couple lucky bounces but hey, the posts are supposed to be his friends! We had some good goals by virtually everybody, and I'm very pleased will the effort everyone gave in today's game.
