Tigers Lose Heartbreaker in Semi-Final Shootout in Orillia
The strong play of the Welland Buckner's Source for Sports Tigers continued but unfortunately they left the Jim Wilson Chevrolet Winter Classic empty-handed after a heart-breaking shootout loss in the Semi-final game.

The Welland Buckner's Source for Sports Tigers picked up a 5-2 win over Erindale and 5-1 vicory over Orillia before closing out the round-robin portion of the Jim Wilson Chevrolet Winter Classic in Orillia with a 6-1 loss to Brampton. The Tigers then faced eventual tournament Champion Innisfil in the Semi-finals losing a 6-5 heart-breaker in a shootout after the teams were tied at the end of regulation time.

Jeffrey Bisson and Simon Guglielmi each netted a pair against Erindale with Quinten Hemauer recording the other tally. Kaleb Seguin notched a hat-trick against Orillia with Bisson and Mitchell Tomaino also finding the twine. Seguin then recorded the lone Welland goal against Brampton. Nicolas DiPietro scored twice against Innisfil and was joined on the scoresheet by Tomaino, Hemauer and Guglielmi.

The Tigers then returned to regular season action against Grimsby AE and skated to a 5-5 tie as Grimsby netted the equalizer with only three seconds left to play. Ty Warren with two, Bisson, Hemauer and Carter Kipp scored for Welland with William Johnson scoring twice and Liam Kirk, Kian Marleau and Jaiden Foxcroft answeing back for Grimsby.

The Tigers now sit in second place with a 10-2-1 record in Niagara District Belcot division play.
