Tigers Continue To Claw Up The Competition
The Welland Buckner's Source for Sports Tigers continue to claw up the competition in Minor Atom A regular season action and currently share first place with a record of 8-2.

In the recent Caledonia Challenge Cup tournament the team was able to hold their own playing against teams that were one year older. Despite a pair of goals from Carter Kipp Welland was narrowly defeated 3-2 by the Milton Winterhawks, the Tigers then lost 5-1 to the Tillsonburg Tornadoes with Simon Guglielmi notching the lone Tigers tally and then they bowed out of the tournament with a 7-0 loss to the Glanbrook Rangers.When the Tigers returned to regular season action they defeated Niagara Falls 5-4 and Lincoln 5-0 before falling 7-2 to St. Catharines and rebounding with a 7-2 win over Fort Erie. Jeffrey Bisson scored two against Niagara Falls and was joined on the scoresheet by Isaac Khan, Simon Guglielmi and Mitchell Tomaino. Dakotah Johnstone, Dylan Wybo, Hunter Coley and Julian Mangiacasale responded for the Flyers. Logan Pachkowski recorded the shutout versus Lincoln with Quinten Hemauer and Jeffrey Bisson each scoring a pair and Nicolas DiPietro rounding out the Welland attack. Bisson and Kipp found the back of the net in the 7-2 loss against St. Catharines with Owen Petrucci notching a hat-trick and Rian Wilson, Matthew Hitchcock, Johnny Kamendy and Matthew DiPietro recording the St. Catharines offensive output. In the 7-2 victory over Fort Erie it was Nolan Hemauer scoring the hat-trick, Jeffrey Bisson found the back of the net twice and Ty Warren and Carter Kipp each scored once. Claudio Costa scored the lone Fort Erie marker.
